Caught driving an unregistered vehicle in South Australia?

I was caught driving an Unregistered vehicle in Adelaide, south Australia. (yes, i know completely stupid, but was accidental) I'm 19 years old, and it is the first offense i have committed since i'v had my license. The policeman initially let me off, and told me to go home and sort out my rego, which i did. but about 2 months later, i got a court summons from a policeman at my door. I have to go to court, and have no idea what to expect. I know i will get a hefty fine, but will i lose my license?
