When liberals think that everyone but them is dumb, are they making a tactical blunder?

Liberals are like a bunch of barnyard chickens. When the coast is clear, they're out squawking about this and that; but, when a problem arises or a fox gets into the pen, they run around panicked looking for the nearest exit.
