Landlord won't return $2000 deposit or prorated rent and he's going into foreclosure? What are my options?

The condo I leased is in Nevada. I now live in Colorado. Landlord has bluntly stated he's not giving the deposit or prorated rent back via email and has not given us an itemized list stating why? Its been over 30 days since we moved. Can I do anything from out of state (small claims, lien, anything else??) to get my money back?
