Hi im 14 weeks pregnant and i dont think my uterus has came above my pelvis yet?

Hi im 14 weeks pregnant and i dont think my uterus has came above my pelvis yet. I dont have my first scan untill im 16 weeks but when i use the doppler at home to hear the heartbeat it is still low down in my pelvis is this strange for me being nearly 14 weeks? Just thought i would ask!
