Calling all priests, pastors, reverends, cardinals, religious people,ect. ect. Do you believe in an afterlife?

Please only answer if you think the answer's yes, lately I've been thinking that my life's already half way over.Some in the future I won't be able to just sit here and relax and watch TV while I surf the internet. I won't be able to watch my children grow up and take care of their kids. I won't be able to be with my husband anymore or see any of my friends. It creates fear in my heart and tears well up in my eyes when I think of it. When I was small I stopped going to church because I started going late and on my first day, I did everything wrong I didn't know anything the teacher was talking about, so when it got to my turn to answer a question I always got it wrong, and when he ped out crackers, I didn't know we had to recite graces, so everyone was like KATHLEEN'S EATING HER CRACKERS! However now I'm considering returning to church. I know how God loves us all and sacrificed his son for us. Jesus is the bridge between God and the sinned man. I really want to believe in God, but I don't want to force myself to believe just because I want to join him in heaven. Can someone explain and give some proof how I can believe in God. Will talking to somebody at the church help? Will going to church help? I need to understand more about this situation. Please help
